Episode three of Arksen Origins finds us with Peter Morton, CEO of Wight Shipyard Co., one of Europe’s leading and busiest commercial and Superyacht ship builders.

Peter has an experienced sailing background from winning the Admiral's Cup for the UK and twice winning the Fastnet Race.

“I was brought up on a very small island in Papua New Guinea, where there wasn’t a lot to do, it was pre-television… so I used to just go sailing. That involved sailing dinghies right through to national and world championships… and the Admiral's Cup which I did eight times for the United Kingdom, including winning.”

Peter talks his excitement for building Arksen Explorer Vessels, his vast sailing background and the future of yachting.

“I think more and more people want to do different things with boats… I want to go to different places, I don’t want to go and anchor off a beach in St Tropez.”

Arksen is partnered with Wight Shipyard Co. for building Arksen Explorer vessels. Find out more about Arksen here.

“There is a whole new generation of people who want to do something different… I think it’s the next market in private yachting.”
